Poizo smart space heater
Slē is a perfect example of a “free” project born as a #weeklydesignchallenge concept and was so widely appreciated, I decided to develop myself.
Smooth surface and accurate thickness combined with the durability and high impact resistance made plywood a multifunctional material.
Slē was inspired by the bent plywood structures and joints to highlight the pure function while keeping a dynamic form language. The tilted construction is specially designed for the slopes, providing convenient sitting and maneuverability.
The “double arch” construction of Slē was designed based on statical properties in order to be durable against recurring forces while sledging. My aim was to choose traditional materials widely used amongst “sledge-using” communities.
